  1. I had registered an Flat in the Year Dec 2011 for total 35 Lac( Including Stamp duty+registration+VAT+Development) & possesion i got in the Year Jan 2014.
    Today i want to sell the flat as the appreciation is 50 Lac. How much is the Capital Gain tax do i need to pay if i am selling it by Dec 2014. As per Cost

    inflation Index for 2011-12 was 785 & 2013-14 is 939. Kindly calculate after the indexing of the capital?

    1. if we understood your query correctly, you say that appreciation is 50 Lac, which means flat can be sold at Rs 85 Lacs. Or flat is being sold at Rs 50 Lac?

      explanation for both the cases:
      If flat is being sold at Rs 50 Lacs, then capital gain tax would be Rs 1.67 Lacs
      If flat is being sold at Rs 85 Lacs, then capital gain tax would be Rs 8.88 Lacs

  3. I had purchased the flat at 35 Lac.I have a Loan of 21 Lac on a Flat I sell that Flat after 3 yrs for 50 Lac. I repay the Loan amount first.Remaining with me is 29 Lac. so I buy another Flat for 29 Lac within 2yrs do I need to pay Capital Gain Tax? As I am buying the property again with the capital gain amount with in 2yrs.
